Race description

The races are held on two Saturdays in March each year on the gravel track in Skatås, which measures just under 8 km. On the first Saturday, it's one lap that counts, and the following week, participants can choose between two or four laps. The results from the 8 km and 16 km are also combined into a combined competition, making this an excellent test in preparation for the Göteborgsvarvet. The entry fee is 100 SEK per race, and for that amount, you get everything except a medal.

Highlights

  • The spring races give you a test of your fitness, and if it's warm and sunny in March, there could be a record number of participants.
  • The 16 km course has a similar elevation profile to the Varvet, with long flat stretches and a few long but not very steep climbs.
  • The course for 8 km is Grusåttan in Skatås, which is run one lap clockwise and is known for being an easily runnable trail with three significant uphill sections.
